The Sinister Harpy is a Nessian Schism Harpy and one of Maya Sundaresh's Sol Sentinels tasked with overseeing the scavenging of the Plaguelands in search for Golden Age tech and Warsats to further her plans. It is encountered as one of the the potential final bosses of the Conductor's Keep version of Reclaim.

Gameplay[edit]

The Sinister Harpy is fought at the Archon's Keep and is initially communing with several Goblins of the Nessian Schism. Once disturbed, the Sinister Harpy will unfold and begin firing upon its attackers. The Sinister Harpy has a very low aggression level, not even attacking any Guardians until it or one of its Goblins are damaged or touched and quickly losing focus and returning to a neutral state if one hides behind cover for a few seconds.

The Sinister Harpy fights identically to most Harpies with an Ultra-rank chassis, unfolding into a large circular fan and firing its Harpy Slap Rifles at its target. However every few seconds it will focus on a patch of ground and fire a detainment field, detaining any Guardians caught inside. This field has very high durability and on higher difficulties is all but a guaranteed death so it is best to stay mobile while fighting the Sinister Harpy. Once it reaches two thirds of its health, it'll warp further into the Archon's Keep. Once damaged a little more, the Sinister Harpy will warp out of the battlefield and leave a Conflux with a passcode above it. This passcode must be decrypted three times by shooting the Oracles above the other confluxes that spawned in the nearby area, with every passcode appearance summoning a small deployment of Vex and a Major Wyvern along with it.

Once three passcodes have been decrypted the Sinister Harpy will reappear and begin retreating away from its opponent until it is cornered atop the hill, occasionally summoning Goblins and Fanatics. From there it will not move and can be destroyed at will.

Trivia[edit]

  • Despite being part of the Nessian Schism, which use the chassis of the Precursors collective, the Sinister Harpy's chassis is that of a Descendant Harpy as seen with its rounder body and holes in its fins, albeit with Precursor colors.
