The Shades of Keit'Ehr are Shades of the Taken Subjugator, the Resonant Knife. It serves as a High Value Target seen wandering in the Dreadnaught in the Nether activity and serves as one of the random bosses in the Court of Blades.

Gameplay

The Nether

In the Nether the Shade acts just like any other HVT, they will enter the area and wander before eventually leaving. If they are killed before they leave not only will the pressure decrease but they will also drop loot and a minor boon.

Court of Blades

In the Court of Blades they function similarly to Kaag, Bone Breaker but instead of Knights they have Grim otherwise the mechanic is the same. Everytime they are slain, a 30-second timer begins, after that the Grim respawn. Defeating the Shade will complete the encounter, allowing the fireteam to progress further onto the next objective.
