War Hounds behave in the same way as regular War Beasts, with the main difference being that they have a much larger total health count than their regular counterparts. They can run in fast and slash [[Guardian]]s to pieces, so close-range weaponry that can burst down high-health targets in a pinch will take War Hounds down fairly quickly.
The War Hound differed from its standard Red Legion counterpart by its heavier, gold-colored armor, adorned with black, red and white markings, and incredible durability. It behaved in the same manner as standard War Beasts, running in fast and slashing [[Guardian]]s to pieces with its stronger attacks. Close-range powerful weaponry, such as a [[Shotgun]] or burst-fire [[Sidearm]], was necessary to keep it back and deal sufficient damage.

The War Hound was an Ultra variant of the War Beast, exclusive to the Cabal Excavation Public Event during the European Dead Zone Flashpoint. It and the EDZ Flashpoint were sunset with the release of Beyond Light on November 10, 2020.

Gameplay[edit]

The War Hound differed from its standard Red Legion counterpart by its heavier, gold-colored armor, adorned with black, red and white markings, and incredible durability. It behaved in the same manner as standard War Beasts, running in fast and slashing Guardians to pieces with its stronger attacks. Close-range powerful weaponry, such as a Shotgun or burst-fire Sidearm, was necessary to keep it back and deal sufficient damage.
