The Eye in the Dark was a powerful Shrieker that was taken from the Prison of Elders by Hive escapees fleeing to Mars. It could only be found in the WANTED: Eye in the Dark bounty mission. It could've been found either in the Ma'adim Subterrane or the Core Terminus.

Gameplay

First, the player had to kill Cursed Thralls called The Wormcursed, which, upon death, dropped a green puddle. The player had to stand in this puddle until they received the "Scent of the Worm" buff to awaken the Eye. When the fight began, the Eye opened and started blasting the player and will summon Hive to protect itself. Every once in a while, the Shrieker teleported to a different location. Once the player lost the "Scent of the Worm" buff, or the Eye has lost a third of it's health, the Eye closed, and more Wormcursed Thralls spawned. The process had to be repeated until it was destroyed.
