Tagh'al, Blademaster was a powerful Gladiator who led a crew of Cabal and Fallen pirates, alongside his brother, Thagh'urn. He and his sibling serve as the two final bosses of the Pirate Hideout: The Blademasters Mission.

Biography

Not much is known about Tagh'al or his brother, Thagh'urn—only that they were a pair skilled Gladiators who led their own gang of pirates, made up of both Cabal and Eliksni. They frequently clashed with each other for sport, as their followers watched and cheered them on.[1] After the return of Eramis, the Shipstealer, the Blademasters learned of the bounty that she had placed on the relics of Nezarec, and they were able to seize one them. Before they could bring it to the Kell, however, their hideout in the Themis Cluster was assaulted by the The Guardian, who was also searching for the artifacts. Tagh'al fell to the Lightbearer in battle, alongside his brother and crew, and their relic was taken.[2]

Gameplay

Tagh'al and his brother, Thagh'urn, serve as the final bosses of the Pirate Hideout: The Blademasters activity. They are both encountered within the 8964 Corax asteroid in Themis Cluster, where their hideout is situated. After fighting through the Cabal and Fallen pirates throughout the asteroid, you will eventually come to the final arena, where you will find the two Pirate Lords. Tagh'al and his sibling both fight like standard Cabal Gladiators, charging at their opponent to swing at them with their Severi, and sometimes performing a lunge-slash move to reach you at greater distances. They will also be backed up by their underlings, who will provide fire support to try and overwhelm the player. When one of the Blademasters loses a third of his health, he will activate an immunity shield and call upon another horde of Cabal and Fallen enemies. These reinforcements must be killed to disable the shield of whichever boss summoned them. While invincible, Tagh'al will retreat to the far-right corner of the arena and stay there until their defences are neutralized, in which case he will rejoin the battle. This process will have to be repeated twice for each of the brothers. Once Tagh'al and Thagh'urn have both been defeated, you may claim the reliquary to end the activity.
