Mholoch, Herald of the Plague is a large Hive Ogre that appears as both a Tier 1 and Tier 3 boss in the Blind Well, during the second week of the Dreaming City curse.^[1]

Gameplay

During the boss wave, Mholoch spawns at the top of the stairs on the far side of the arena. Its immunity shield renders it impervious to attacks, and can only broken by players who gain the "Harmony" buff. Said buff is acquired by killing Anathema enemies and collecting the orbs they drop. However, the shield is still highly resilient to those who can damage it, so focusing fire on the boss is recommended to deplete it as quickly as possible. The same applies to the boss itself, who is extremely durable and slow to kill.

Mholoch will fight alone during if a Tier 1 Charge of Light is deposited, but is accompanied by two other Ogres, Belhor and Teraph, during Tier 3 Blind Well runs.

Trivia

The Herald's name is derived from that of a Canaanite deity depicted in the Hebrew Bible, Moloch.

+During the boss wave, Mholoch spawns at the top of the stairs on the far side of the arena. Its immunity shield renders it impervious to attacks, and can only broken by players who gain the "Harmony" buff. Said buff is acquired by killing [[The Anathema|Anathema]] enemies and collecting the orbs they drop. However, the shield is still highly resilient to those who can damage it, so focusing fire on the boss is recommended to deplete it as quickly as possible. The same applies to the boss itself, who is extremely durable and slow to kill.
