Vakarsik, Grasp of Quria is a giant Taken Captain found in the Heroic version of the Rift Generator Public Event, where they are found to be regenerating thanks to several Taken Wizards conducting a ritual.[1].

Gameplay

To reach Vakarsik, Guardians that participate in the event should collect the Awoken Batteries dropped by the assaulting Deranged Abominations. Bringing them to the Generator will briefly reveal three Taken Blights hovering in the distance. Destroying all three will make another Blight appear on top of the device alongside three Elite Taken Wizards. Killing them will transport the participants into the Ascendant Realm version of the area, where six more Taken Wizards are conducting a ritual to restore a wounded Vakarsik, who is currently immune and immobile. All six Wizards should be killed as fast as possible to prevent the boss from healing. When they are dead, the blight on top of the Captain will descend, and they will be vulnerable to damage. They fight much like a normal Taken Captain, but they will constantly summon hordes of Shadow Thralls and Ravenous Taken Phalanxes, making it difficult to maintain a position.
