Season of the Haunted was the seventeenth season in Destiny 2 and the second seasonal content of The Witch Queen annual pass, running from May 24th 2022 to August 23rd 2022.
During the season, the Vanguard and the Imperial Cabal must confront the return of Calus in his derelict and corrupted Leviathan orbiting the Moon. Now a herald of the Witness, the former emperor seeks control over the Lunar Pyramid as Guardians are forced to contain its Nightmares unleashed aboard his ship. Meanwhile, Eris Morn works alongside Zavala, Empress Caiatl, and Crow as they must confront their respective Nightmares and sever Calus's growing psychic connection.

Story: Leviathan's Return
- "Power, depravity, vengeance. The object of Calus's desire has taken many shapes over the years. His once-opulent ship, now derelict and corrupted, has returned to our galaxy—its sights set on the Pyramid ship lying dormant on the Moon."
