Black Spindle

Black Spindle is an exotic Year 2 version of the Black Hammer sniper rifle. Unlike other exotic weapons, it cannot be obtained by random loot drop or quests. Instead, it is obtained by entering a secret area during the Lost to Light mission on hard mode. After defeating Baxx, the Gravekeeper, the player has to escape the Hellmouth. However, instead of exiting through the Temple of Crota, if the player instead walks into the Dusk Warren and enters the Traitor's Ketch, they'll be given a 10 minute challenge to eliminate all Taken, including a Taken boss in the final room where Taniks was fought. If the player is successful, they'll receive Black Spindle.^[1]
