The Khvostov 7G-0X is an Exotic Auto Rifle coming in the Rise of Iron expansion.^[1]

Acquisition

This gun can be obtained by completing an Exotic quest. It will start by finding Khvostov Weapon Parts either by dismantling the old Khvostov, if the player still has it in their inventory or Vault, opening chests, or as a reward from participating in the Archon's Forge Arena. Once these parts are turned in, the quest will then start a chain of events that eventually takes the player back to where they were first found on a mission to retrieve the upgraded Khvostov.

Gameplay

The Khvostov 7G-0X is a unique Exotic in that it doesn't have a single Exotic perk. Instead, its Exotic nature stems from the fact that it is highly customizable; there is simply no wrong way to use this weapon. There is a multitude of options to choose from in the perk tree:

Intrinsic Perk:
- Lightweight-This weapon grants +2 agility when held.

Scopes:
- Classic Scope-The original Khvostov scope. Optimized for range and stability.
- Modernized Scope-Grants additional zoom and target acquisition.

Firing Modes:
- Automatic-Sets firing behavior to fully automatic.
- Burst Fire-Sets firing behavior to burst.
- Semi Auto-Sets firing behavior to semi-automatic with higher muzzle velocity.

Frame Options:
- Hammer Forged—Improved range and accuracy.
- Rifled Barrel—Increased Range; Slower Reload.
- Braced Frame—Increased Stability; Reduced Magazine Size.

Extras:
- Extended Mag—A larger magazine.
- Counterbalance—This weapon has increased stability.
- Rangefinder—Aiming this weapon increases its effective range.

RPM:
- 450 RPM-Sets firing behavior to 450 RPM. Grants bonus range.
- 900 RPM-Sets firing behavior to 900 RPM. Grants bonus stability.

There are at least 100 different possible perk combinations available. With this much customization at hand, the player can make this weapon work however they want, making it a very versatile weapon built for all purposes.
