The Wardcliff Coil is an Exotic Arc Rocket Launcher in Destiny 2. It fires a massive volley of microrockets that will home in on targets at short range for a wide area of effect. It has a chance to drop from Exotic Engrams.

Gameplay[edit]

The Wardcliff Coil fires a volley of rockets, making it useful for clearing multiple adds in PVE. It is also commonly used in many boss damage phases, including Calus in the Leviathan raid, and Ir Anûk, Deathsinger and Ir Halak, Deathsinger in the King's Fall raid. It also is effective at killing Guardians in PVP, due to the rockets tracking.

  • Mad Scientist: This weapon fires a volley of rockets.
  • Volatile Launch: This weapon is optimized for an especially explosive payload. Greatly increases blast radius. Slightly decreases handling speed. Slightly decreases projectile speed.
  • Extended Mag: This weapon has a greatly increased magazine size, but reloads much slower. Greatly increases magazine size. Greatly decreases reload speed. Increases airborne effectiveness.
  • Mechanized Autoloader: This weapon automatically reloads on ammo pickup.
  • Composite Stock: This weapon has a versatile dual-purpose stock. Slightly increases stability. Slightly increases handling speed.

The quest to obtain the catalyst for The Wardcliff Coil has a chance to drop from challenging enemies in Strikes once the weapon has been acquired.
