Season of Plunder was the eighteenth Season of Destiny 2 and the third seasonal content from The Witch Queen annual pass, running from August 23rd 2022 to December 6th 2022.

After Eramis, Kell of Darkness had recently thawed from her Stasis prison by the Witness, Guardians form a motley crew of spacefaring buccaneers alongside the Drifter, Spider, Mithrax, and the Eliksni scribe Eido as they work together to stop the Kell of Darkness from collecting the scattered relics of the ancient Disciple Nezarec and face the "Old Crews" of Fallen pirates united under her control.

Story: Sail by Starlight

"Eramis, awoken from her icy prison by a Dark benefactor, has rallied old pirate lords of Eliksni legend to assist her in recovering lost relics of great power... unless you plunder them first. There is no horizon to reach, no edge to your map, but there most certainly is treasure. Assemble your crew, Guardian."
