Premier Lume, formerly known as Bracus Lume, Coalition Ally, is a former Cabal Legionary and Bracus of the Imperial Cabal. However, following the events on the Leviathan, he would defect from the Ascendency alongside several other deserters and the son of the leader of the Tex Mechanica Weapon Foundry, believing that Caiatl had abandoned Torobatl for the Last City. With assistance from VI of the Nine to grow their numbers and advance their technology beyond the current capabilities of the Cabal, the now-Premier Lume would lead their new Barant Imperium alongside Dredgen Bale in a mission to destroy the Guardians and reclaim Torobatl.
Biography[edit]
Bracus Lume would twice accompany Empress Caiatl to the Underbelly of the Derelict Leviathan when she went in there to challenge the Nightmare of Dominus Ghaul.[1][2]
Sometime after, he would be critically wounded in an assault on Savathûn's throne world, having Hive shrapnel lodged in his abdomen. City Warlocks and and medical Frames were unable to remove it, so Lume was assigned a wounded-in-action status and permanent discharge from the front lines.[3]
Some time after, Lume would be assigned to a battle rifle platform to oversee a weapons trial. There, he would meet the son of Tex Mechanica's leader, Nazaire, and act as his liason. The two would end up striking a friendship, with Lume telling him about the time of the Cabal before Calus' reign and his dreams of liberation, rousing history and leading it forward.[4] Lume would come to believe that Caiatl was putting Human interests before Cabal ones and she had been corrupted by the lies of the Guardians to abandon any potential to reclaim Torobatl to instead settle for the Last City.[5]
Prior to the Invasion of Neptune, Lume would attempt multiple desertions.[3] Ultimately, he would vanish alongside a squadron, several prototype Ascendancy technologies and the now Dredgen Bael. With assistance from VI of the Nine, who created a pocket of distorted time that allowed decades to pass in just three years, Lume was able to develop the stolen prototype technology into a completed and advanced state, as well as creating a massive army, flotilla and a new superweapon known as Nightfall Station.[6][7]
They would return to Sol at some point prior to the events on Kepler, intent on showing the flaws and evil of the Guardians and end their tyrannical rule over humanity and the Cabal.[citation needed]

Gameplay[edit]
Sever: Rage and Resolve[edit]
Bracus Lume adorns armor similar in design to Blood Guard Legionaries, but dark-grey and blue in color, with a large, gold symbol emblazoned on their chest plate, and two crests on their back. Unlike their Red Legion counterparts, however, they lack a wrist blade and are mostly bare, except for some cloth wrapped around them. They come equipped with a Cabal Slug Shotgun, typical of most Legionaries.
Lume can be found fighting alongside Val Parthus within the Leviathan's Underbelly in the final two Sever Missions: Rage and Resolve. In both missions, you will run into them at the Engineering Bay after fighting through a few corridors packed with Loyalists. After you have reached the two Coalition Allies, you must assist them in clearing the bay of the incoming hordes of Cabal and Scorn enemies. Once they have all been eliminated, set down an amplifier in the Egregore matter so you and Caiatl's guards can push forward. After you drop down into the Ventilator, you will meet up with Optus Ulios. The group will wait for the Guardian to lift the lockdown, lowering the energy barrier blocking the way and allowing them to push onward to Caiatl's position. In Resolve, large numbers of Scorn will spawn in the airshaft, attempting to stop you from making it to your objective, and Lume will again fight alongside you. Your allies will stop just short of the final boss arena, guarding the entrance while you take on the Nightmare of Ghaul. They will transmat away when the mission ends.
Glory Beyond[edit]
Premier Lume appears as the penultimate encounter of the final mission of Renegades's final mission, Glory Beyond. The Premier appears in the middle of the arena and is initially immune until the two Centurions, named Premier's Appointees, that appear at both of his sides are killed. Lume mostly fights identically to Centurions but without their rocket packs, though his handheld Projection Rifle also has a charge attack that fires several slugs at once. Once a third of his health is drained, Lume will activate both a personal shield around himself and a Cabal Shield that are tied to Nightfall Station's firing mechanism. During this time Nightfall Station also begins priming to fire, giving a thirty second timer before it fires and the Guardian automatically loses the encounter. Destroying an active wire extends the timer by five seconds.
To disable this shield, Guardians must shoot all four of the Arc weak points on the wiring around within the shield. Once this wiring is destroyed, both shields will collapse and Lume will become enraged, resuming the fight. This also cancels Nightfall Station's countdown timer. Once he reaches his final third of his health, Lume once again activates his shielding and this time ties it to six wires that must be destroyed, along with priming Nightfall Station again. Destroying these wires leaves Lume vulnerable to damage until he reaches a tenth of his health where he activates his malfunctioning personal shields for just long enough to flee, completing the encounter.
Lume is reinforced by Legionaries, War Beasts, Centurions, and Psions during this encounter.
Trivia[edit]
- The arena Premier Lume is fought in has a similar layout as the one Thumos, the Unbroken was fought in.
