The Ultra Captain was a powerful Ultra Fallen Captain that could be found in the King's Watch area of the Cosmodrome during Patrol mode.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

The Ultra Captain can be found in the King's Watch while patrolling the Cosmodrome. However, this area is not directly accessible while in Patrol, and you will be required to glitch out of the map in order to reach the boss. Once you have glitched into King's Watch, the Ultra Captain and several lesser Fallen will be waiting for you in the command center. If you entered via the large window of the room, you may need to head down the corridors and kill some enemies before it spawns. The boss is equipped with a Shrapnel Launcher that fires bursts of Solar rounds. If the player gets too close, they can unleash a powerful stomp attack that will send them flying back, dealing large amounts of damage. However, the Captain lacks any defensive capabilities and can be defeated fairly easily, especially with heavy weapons and Supers.

Trivia[edit]

  • It is possible that the Ultra Captain could be a boss template for developers to help make new, Fallen bosses.
    • It is also possible that they were a scrapped idea for a Fallen boss made by Bungie, but was forgotten to be removed.
  • It is possible that Xander 99-40's dialogue may refer to this Ultra. "Bounty claimed, unnamed Baron, Cosmodrome" can be heard from him at times.
  • Despite the Ultra Captain's killcam listing them as a member of the House of Kings, their armor is grey and completely plain, lacking any symbols or markings.
  • The Ultra Captain is the first unnamed Ultra in the game, with the second being the Ultra Knight, and the third being the Ultra Hydra.
    • In addition to this, they are the first boss in the game that forces players to glitch through the map in order to reach them.
