Decima, Shielding Psion is an Imperial Cabal Psion sent by Empress Caiatl alongside Thysaeuc, Quicksilver Psion and Nuajes, Hacking Psion to assist the Guardian in breaching Bunker WAR-6 to stop Maya Sundaresh from using a Warsat to expand the influence of her Echo of Command.
Gameplay[edit]
Decima can be called in where exposure to radiation is highly likely such as at the breach into Bunker WAR-6 and while platforming across the coolant chamber to activate the gravity lift. Once summoned in, Decima will activate a psionic shield which, when entered by any ally, provides them with fifteen seconds of radiation shielding which nullifies all damage and negative effects of being hit by radiation waves.
Decima will also appear alongside their other two Psion teammates during the final battle within the launching site itself. They stay on the middle platform near the back of the room and provide covering fire against the Vex and Cabal forces. They most often target the Radiolaria Nexus Minotaurs that spawn on the left of the room nearby their position, often being able to dispatch it all by themselves. During this battle Decima has infinite health and cannot be killed, though if they sustain enough damage their outgoing damage will be drastically decreased for a time.
Once Valus Thuun is summoned and reaches two thirds of his healthbar, he will prepare to irradiate the room. Decima will attempt to provide shielding, but will be imprisoned alongside their Psion teammates by a Warden Wyvern. The Warden must be defeated to free Decima and allow them to shield their teammates. This occurs once more once the Valus reaches a third of his health. Upon Thuun being dispatched, Decima and their teammates will work together to weaken the Warsat's paneling just enough for the Guardian to be able to break into and destroy it.
Trivia[edit]
- Decima is the only one of the three Psions who is never mandatory to be called in as all areas dedicated to their assistance can be passed through either clever movement or enough health regeneration to outlast any potential radiation damage.
