Crystalline Quatrains are heavy-duty weapons employed by the Fallen.
Gameplay[edit]
The Crystalline Quatrain is a compact launcher found in the hands of Captains. Its primary means of attack consists of a rose of three-four projectiles with relatively low range but wide spread. Each of these projectiles applies slow stacks to the target, gradually bringing them to a freezing state, although the high damage may kill the target quicker than it freezes. In addition, the top quadrant of the Crystalline Quatrain projects a large fan of crystals that Captains use to protect their heads. These crystals can be destroyed, though they take reduced damage from all sources, and will regenerate after about a minute.
