Shanks are small flying robotic drones used by the Fallen.[1]
Overview
Shanks use a pair of vertical jet engines for primary mobility, typically hovering several feet off the ground. Standard Shanks are equipped with small Arc energy weapons located on their underside, but variants exist with a variety of weapons and damage types. Shanks are very fragile, and can be destroyed with only a few shots.[2] They can be deployed from Devil Walkers.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many
Shanks acquire a Solar shield during Nightfall Strikes and certain Public Events, making them more difficult to dispatch. The House of Wolves also employs three variants of the Shank: the Repeater Shank, equipped to shoot faster, the Exploder shank, acting as a suicide bomber, and the Tracer Shank, acting as a sniper variant.
