Pit Shanks are a variant of the Fallen Shank.

Gameplay

Pit Shanks were first encountered as troops deployed by Fallen Walkers for defense in Destiny. They possess flight capabilities that no other Shank has, and are also armed with an exclusive weapon: the Shock Rifle.

Pit Shanks would also be used by the House of Exile on Kepler as variants of Duskfield Shanks. They were deployed in The Stacks by a group of Exiles defending the entrance of Dr. Carnahan's lab, which was ransacked by the House.
