The Siege Dancers are an elite detachment of the initial Cabal legions on Mars, lead in battle by the infamous Valus Ta'aurc, a member of the Dust Giants.

Overview

Acting as stormtroopers, they secure new territory and set up fortifications. They possess more operational freedom than other units, and will compete in demolition competitions.[1] They can be identified by their blue and yellow armor.

Trivia

  • The Siege Dancers have the most distinct and bright coloration of a Cabal deployment to date with bright yellow and light blue colors.
  • Going by how the Cabal groups were created, the Siege Dancers are the subdivision of a subdivision, as the Dust Giants used to be part of another legion called the Sand Eaters.
    • Because of this, the Siege Dancers could be one of the smallest divisions among the Cabal scouting legions.
    • This is supported by their commander being a Dust Giant himself as well as the Trenchworks featuring Dust Giant banners.
  • The Siege Dancers are the among the Legions to not be ruled by a Primus.
  • Banners of the Siege Dancers can be found on the Omega side of the Crucible map Firebase Echo on Nessus, suggesting a Cabal presence on Nessus predating the Red War, or, more likely, Siege Dancer cooperation with the Red Legion. The use of Siege Dancer banners may also simply have been a gameplay choice to better differentiate areas of the map.
