Shrapnel Launchers are heavy-duty weapons wielded by Fallen of all stripes. This includes Dregs, Vandals, Captains, Barons, Archon priests, and Kells. The Devil Splicers use a SIVA enhanced version which deals greater damage and has higher muzzle velocity. The Taken use a version that deals Arc damage.

Gameplay

Guardians can use a wieldable version of the Shrapnel Launcher, called the Lord of Wolves. This version of the Shrapnel Launcher has the range of a typical fusion rifle and works exactly like it’s Unweildable counterpart.

Grimoire description

The Shrapnel Launcher is a simple, effective, robust weapons system that the Fallen can build without risking vital resources.

The weapon fires loose-forged canisters of explosives and shrapnel down electromagnetic rails embedded in the barrel. Captains favor this weapon for its intimidating presence. It deals Solar damage.[1]

Trivia

  • Two of these weapons can be found inside the Tower alongside a collection of Cabal weaponry.
  • While the casque of the weapon appears to be maroon, the casque on the Lord of Wolves is brown
