Shank

Shanks are small flying robotic drones used by the Fallen. They seem to fly using a pair of vertical jet engines, and are able to hover. Shanks are equipped with small energy weapons located on their underside. They appear to have a glowing red "eye" centered on their front. The main chassis is oval shaped, if a little boxy. A rod extends downward on either side, possibly to help stabilize the Shank, and the engines are located along the back section. Shanks acquire a Solar shield during Nightfall Strikes and certain Public Events, making them more difficult to dispatch. The House of Wolves also employs three variants of the Shank; the Repeater Shank, equipped to shoot faster, the Exploder shank, acting as a suicide bomb, and the Tracer Shank, acting as a sniper variant.
