History

Origins

The Hezen Corrective are a Vex Division that are tasked with taking control of territory on Venus, and eliminating the House of Winter. They show an interest of the Golden Age technology of the Ishtar Collective, attempting to gain access to their archives.

Destruction of the Black Heart

When the Guardian arrived at the Ishtar Academy to search for the Exo Stranger, the Corrective would engage with the Lightbearer. They would be defeated, and the Guardian would successfully meet up with the Exo Stranger. She would order them to destroy the Black Heart so the Traveler could begin to heal. The Vanguard would send a fireteam of Guardians to destroy Sekrion, Nexus Mind. They would go down below the Ishtar Academy, locate the Nexus and destroy Sekrion, halting Venus's conversion into a machine world. Later a six Guardian fireteam would destroy Atheon, Time's Conflux, putting an to the Vault's operation for good.

The Wolf Rebellion

Skolas, Kell of Kells and his forces would take control of multiple across the Ishtar Sink hoping to gain access to the Vex's technology. However the Wolf Rebellion would be put to an end by The Reef with the assistance of the Vanguard.

The Taken War

During the Taken War, Oryx, the Taken King would send the Taken Axis Mind Morphon, Blighted Mind to corrupt the Vex network. A Guardian fireteam would bring an end to this, stopping Oryx from taking control of the network. Shortly after the death of the Taken King, Theosyion, the Restorative Mind would make it's way to the Echo Chamber and attempt to recreate Sekrion, Nexus Mind, so the Vex could continue their conversion of Venus. A Guardian fireteam would be sent to stop this. The Hezen Corrective would fail to stop the Guardians, and Theosyion, the Restorative Mind would be destroyed.

Rise of Iron

The Hezen Corrective using technology from the Vault of Glass would successfully recreate Sekrion, Nexus Mind. However the Axis Mind would become corrupted by the Taken. A fireteam would once again enter deep into the Nexus and destroy Sekrion once more.

Structure

The Hezen Corrective's chief goal on the planet is to seek out and destroy the House of Winter's presence there (having attempted an invasion of the Fallen lair during Winter's Run). The Corrective, for reasons unknown, has also taken an interest in studying Golden Age technology and that they are involved in occupying areas to make them more suitable for Vex operations. It is also implied that they may even be a strategic ploy - acting as a distraction for the activities of the Hezen Protective.[2]
