The North American Empire was the largest voluntary retronationalist republic that existed during the Golden Age. Its insignia featured twin eagles.[1]

As a voluntary state, the North American Empire was presumably united by fellowship between like-minded individuals. In particular, its membership was noted for a love of “military pageantry and muscular aerospace displays.”

Trivia

  • The empire bears resemblance to the United States by way of iconography, and could be a case of in-universe mis-identification.
  • The United Republic of North America, or URNA, is a geo-political body that appears in one of Bungie's previous franchises, Halo, and is very similar in concept to Destiny's North American Empire. Both could be references to the real world North American Union.
