The Dread are an enemy faction created by the Witness, first seen with the Tormentors during the events of Lightfall.

Command structure
Unique Forces
- Attendant - units that sends out a wave of Stasis energy and inflicts slow on targets caught in the wave's path.
- Grim - A highly mobile flying enemy that slows and suppresses a Guardian’s abilities if they get too close. [1]
- Husk - An acrobatic melee bruiser that sends a deployable geist enemy toward you unless you hit their weak spot with a final blow.
- Subjugator - units that support their allies with Pyramid drones similar to the Stormcaller's Arc Soul, and casts a variety of Stasis or Strand attacks with their spears.
- Tormentor - brute-like units that can cast Void attacks with their scythes, and grabs their target to perform the Dark Harvest move.
- Weaver - units that sends out a wave of Strand energy to pull its target towards it.
