The Shield of the Distorted are unique Major and Ultra enemies encountered when following Strange Signals caused by Eclipse Distortions.

Gameplay

These enemies are encountered by following the Strange Signals to the private areas of the Destination where the signal was obtained. The Majors are encountered in pairs, while the Ultras are by themselves, with copious amounts of reinforcements. They function the same as any standard enemy of their kind, other than their Eclipse empowerment making them more resilient and causing them to drop an area of hazardous terrain once their empowerment is removed. Once defeated, the nearby chest will clear of corruption and the Guardian will be able to claim the spoils inside.

Trivia

• It is possible to encounter these enemies without their Eclipse empowerment by following the Strange Signal after the Distortion moves to another planet.
