Strange Signal is a Mission introduced in Monument of Triumph.

Gameplay

To gain access to the mission, a player must collect 50 pieces of Strange Matter, which will automatically convert into an Exotic Strange Signal. After this, a spot in a Private area will be marked on the Destination map, allowing the player to highlight it. Upon reaching this spot, the message "Nine-touched combatants guard a strange treasure..." will appear on the bottom left of the player's HUD. In this spot, a Chest locked inside a Distortion bubble will be guarded by several Elite combatants led by Shield of the Distorted combatants. Once the Shield is defeated, the chest will unlock, allowing the player to collect its loot.

Trivia

• On Nessus, Vex enemies for this mission are of the Sol Collective even though the collective on Nessus has long been absorbed by the Nessian Schism.
  • If they are found alongside patrolling Nessian Schism Vex, they will not be hostile to each other.
• It is possible to keep a Strange Signal in the player's inventory and follow it to another Distorted Destination after the Distortion moves there.
