"And my vanquisher will read that book, seeking the weapon, and they will come to understand me, where I have been and where I was going."

Gwynn arrives at the bonfire and approaches Attal. Attal begins to speak with a panicked voice.

Attal: So, what's next for you all?

Attal: Gwynn…

Attal: Balder—no, Kyle's gone!

Attal: I saw him staring at some mark while we were going to raid the armory, and then in the blink of an eye, he was gone!

Gwynn calmly responds.

Gwynn: You won't see him again.

Gwynn: Here. Give this to the guys he was with, then take them to Haven. Have the Iron Lords get them settled.

Gwynn passes Attal the device holding the coordinates.

Attal: …So you're certain he's—

Gwynn: Yes.

Attal: Then… Y-you killed him?

Gwynn: He's no longer a Lightbearer. How much longer he has left is in Death's hands now.

Attal: This…this is the first time you've given someone a second chance.

Gwynn: Not everyone deserves one.

Gwynn: Change is difficult.

Gwynn: I've seen far too many sinners weep before my blade, yet the remorse they show is nothing but lies.

Attal: …But maybe they could be like Kyle and really try changing for the better.

Gwynn: Most don't regret their actions until I come to deliver justice.

Gwynn: I won't let any sinner go.

Gwynn: But until their punishment is delivered, they always have the opportunity to repent.

Gwynn: As for Kyle, if he truly regrets his sins, he can use his remaining years to repent…until time itself decides he has done enough.
