Gwynn receives a series of messages from Attal.

Attal: The guerrillas found out where that Lightbearer's being held.

Attal: They say he's in the Space Elevator—space! You haven't seen the station either, have you?

Attal: Before you respond, just listen.

Attal: We've been so many places—dense forests, an endless desert, even the snowy mountains reaching above the clouds…

Attal: But never space! Do you still remember letting our imaginations run wild when we saw the Space Elevator from the mountaintop?

Attal: And now, the chance to visit it is right before us! You wouldn't want to miss it, would you?

Attal: Just think about it, okay?

Gwynn: You've made your point. Just send me the coordinates.

Attal: !!!

Attal: Really?

Attal: Oh Gwynn, you're the best! Now we can go save Balder together!

Attal: And we even get to take a trip to space!

Crowther asks Gwynn about the messages.

Crowther: Eh? We're really going, Boss?

Gwynn: There's something I need to confirm.

Gwynn and Attal arrive on the space station. They're on a viewing platform connected to the central elevator and have a clear view of Earth.

Attal: Look at that… You can see the curve of the horizon, and the drifting clouds.

Attal: I never thought I'd see Earth from this angle. Isn't it beautiful? I wonder if we can spot where we first met…

Attal: Ah, it's not on this continent.

Gwynn: Shouldn't we be rescuing someone?

Gwynn asks as she turns away from the view and into the station.

Attal: O-oh, right! Let's go.

They head into the elevator shaft, defeating the Fallen forces stationed there.

Attal: We're not going to sneak in?

Crowther: What would be the point in that?

Crowther: Everyone in this floating trash bin will hear us once the elevator starts up.

Gwynn starts up the elevator and it begins to descend.

Attal: Balder should be imprisoned just up ahead.

Attal: We only need to eliminate the enemies blocking our way.

Attal: Remember, we're here to save the captain, not to fight.

Crowther: Don't be so optimistic. This is Fallen turf.

The elevator unexpectedly stops one floor down.

Crowther: Hey, is it just me or did the elevator stop?

Gwynn: Good work. You cursed us.

Attal: Did we trip some sort of alarm?

Gwynn: Let's try to find another route on this level.

They get off the elevator platform and enter the only room on that floor. It is guarded by more Fallen.

Attal: This looks like some sort of…control center?

A control panel is stationed in the center of the room. They investigate it after taking care of the Fallen.

Crowther: Let me have a look at this. Hmm… Outta date Fallen tech.

Attal: What should we do?

Crowther: The elevator's been locked down, but we can try overloading the system and activating the backup power source.

Crowther: But that Fallen interface up there's pretty tough to understand.

Attal: Oh, let me have a try. I think I understand some of it.

Gwynn: The kids taught you?

As Attal tries figuring out the Fallen's system, more Fallen arrive from the back of the room.

Crowther: I've got an idea, Boss. Using their Scorch Cannons.

Crowther: Let's use 'em to wreck their energy reactors.

Gwynn defeats the Fallen and uses one of their Scorch Cannons to blow up a power cell.

Crowther: Yeah, just like that! Blow it to smithereens!

Another Scorch Cannon is used to blow up a second power cell.

Crowther: Got it! Power's been cut and the back up generator should be kicking in.

Gwynn: Then let's head back to the elevator.

They all head back to the elevator platform. Gwynn turns it back on and it starts to descend again.

Attal: Cutting the power just now reminded me of something.

Gwynn: Oh?

Attal: We used a similar method when we snuck into Ophevoks's base.

Attal: I just wish you'd come with me to rescue the prisoners.

Gwynn: You had your goal, and I had mine.

The elevator comes to a stop at the next floor. More Fallen are present inside this floor's room.

Crowther: Let's deal with these Fallen quick.

Crowther: I really don't wanna stick around this space dump any longer than I need to.

At the back of the room a figure sits on the floor within a cell made with Arc bars. After defeating the Fallen, they approach the cell.

Captain Balder: I wasn't expecting anyone to save me.

Attal: Are you okay?

Captain Balder: Behind you!

A large Fallen Captain, Isseksok, appears from the elevator's direction. Other Fallen forces follow.

Crowther: Boss, that scary looking Fallen from the platform is back.

Crowther: You're not escaping Gwynn's scythe this time!

Gwynn and Attal defeat all the Fallen present. An object falls to the floor when Isseksok is killed.

Crowther: That Fallen dropped something. Bet it's the key to that captain guy's prison.

As Gwynn picks up the key, she and Attal have a whispered conversation.

Gwynn: Attal?

Attal: What?

Gwynn: Don't use my name. Just trust me.

Attal: Eh? …Okay.

The key is used on the prison cell, turning off the Arc barrier. Gwynn and Attal talk to the captain.

Captain Balder: Thank you… I was expecting to die my final death up here. *coughs*

Attal: Balder, right? Your team asked us to rescue you. I'm sure they'll be so glad to see you're okay!

Captain Balder: Sorry for all the trouble. What should I call you?

Attal: I'm Attal, and this is—uh…

Attal pulls back in surprise as Gwynn suddenly shoots Balder. He lays dead on the floor with his Ghost working to resurrect him.

Gwynn: I know that helmet…

Attal: What the—?! How am I going to explain this to him?

Gwynn: Don't. Just tell him his wounds were too severe. This was faster.

Crowther: Hey, Ghosty. What's your name?

Balder's Ghost doesn't respond.

Crowther: Looks like the captain's squad was telling the truth. Lil guy's alive, but the lights aren't all on upstairs.

Gwynn: Wait for "the captain" to come to, and don't tell him anything about me. I'll head back first.

Gwynn: I have something I need to confirm in Haven.

Gwynn leaves.
