Transcript[edit]

"And my vanquisher will read that book, seeking the weapon, and they will come to understand me, where I have been and where I was going."
The following is a verbatim transcription of an official document for archival reasons. As the original content is transcribed word-for-word, any possible discrepancies and/or errors are included.
Helhest receives a series of messages from Felwinter.

Felwinter: I traced the coordinates you found and they do indeed point to a crashed Awoken ship. One I've known about for quite some time.

Felwinter: Back when I found it, I dismantled what was still intact. Most of its parts are stored inside the temple.

Helhest: So it's true—you found this wreckage before.

Felwinter: Not only that. Near the crash site… That was also where I found you.

Felwinter: Once you're ready, return to Felwinter Peak. The faster, the better.

Helhest: I'm on my way.

Helhest arrives at Felwinter Peak near the front of the Iron Temple. As she approaches the temple, Fallen forces are surrounding it.

Grom: Traces of Fallen movement, up ahead!

Grom: So this is why Lord Felwinter wanted us to hurry back—a Fallen invasion.

Helhest clears out the Fallen. The Iron Temple was not damaged.

Grom: Phew… No signs of an enemy attack yet.

Helhest: Go check inside the temple, Grom. We need to get to work.

They approach the iron doors to enter, but the entrance is locked.

Grom: We'll need to unlock the three security programs Lord Felwinter set in order to open the door.

Helhest begins solving the first level of the program.

Grom: Honestly, I get the feeling Lord Felwinter doesn't need to worry about Fallen invading at all.

Grom: These puzzles he made are way scarier than any Fallen.

The first level is completed.

Helhest: Ugh, what a waste of time.

Helhest: Help me connect to it, Grom. I'll modify the program directly.

The security program is hacked to make it so only a single, simple level needs to be completed. The entrance unlocks when it is.

Grom: It's unlocked!

Helhest pushes the doors open and enters the Iron Temple.

Helhest: Do you still remember when you first found me, Grom?

Grom: Yeah…

Grom: The place looked like a battleground, and you were covered in bullet holes and blood.

Grom: And there was a…a crashed ship nearby.

They enter a large, circular chamber. A tree with blue leaves in planted in its center, and banners of the Iron Lords hang around the walls. Grom scans the room for the module. Helhest searches all the possible containers marked by the scan. One is located under each of the banners.

Timur: This Iron Lord's file is currently unavailable.

Silimar: This Iron Lord's file is currently unavailable.

Gunnora: This Iron Lord's file is currently unavailable.

Dryden: This Iron Lord's file is currently unavailable.

Efrideet: Live free, for there is strength in the Light.

Jolder: Be brave enough to sacrifice, and brave enough to win.

Skorri: It is through our deeds that we become truly immortal.

Radegast: An open hand to humanity. A closed fist to evil.

Saladin: Never stop moving forward, for those whose journeys have ended.

Felwinter: Fools speak too much.

The module Felwinter hid is found under Skorri's banner.

Grom: Here's the storage module. Discarding it here is very…Lord Felwinter's style.

Grom: The good news is it's in mint condition! Awoken tech really is something.

Grom: After all this time, it can still start up smoothly.

Grom: Inside is… Huh?

Helhest: I'll wake the White Queen up.

Grom: Wait! Wait, Helhest.

Grom: There's a recording stored inside. It looks to be surveillance footage from the night of the crash.

Grom: I only saw a snippet, and maybe I was mistaken, but I…

Stressed Ghost noises come from Grom.

Helhest: Easy now, Grom. What happened? I've never seen you so flustered.

Helhest: What was recorded?

Grom: I'm not sure… We'll need to find something to play the whole recording on.

Grom: But no matter what, you need to watch it.

They return to Haven and play the recording through the archive's display terminal.
The footage begins to play, focusing on the scene through a grainy start. The wreckage of the ship takes up a third of the screen from the right with fire burning through parts of it. Two pairs of legs can be seen running away on the top left. The footage cuts. An Awoken woman falls down in pain in front of the wreckage. The footage cuts again. Helhest, wearing The Crow outfit, is now standing in front of the woman.

Awoken Woman: Ask Mara Sov just how long she plans to cower away in the Reef.

Helhest points a gun at the other Awoken. The scene turns black, but the other woman can still be heard.

Awoken Woman: But your mission was a failure as well. For you will not find her.

Helhest shoots the woman. The picture returns to Helhest turning her attention towards the security camera and then shooting it, as well.
The footage ends.

Helhest: …I was once a member of the Reef's Isolationists, and the assassin who came to kill the White Queen.

Helhest: I…I died near that ship, and then you revived me.

Grom: Should we hide this part first…?

Grom: If we use it to upgrade the White Queen, she'll recover this portion of her memories.

Helhest: No.

Helhest: That agent isn't me. Whatever she stood for died with her.

Helhest: She doesn't reflect what I've experienced, my stance, or my choices.

Helhest: Just like I chose to believe the White Queen's reason for coming, she can choose whether to trust me once she knows the full truth.

Grom: …I understand. You know I'll always support your decisions, Helhest.

Helhest places the White Queen onto a computer desk in a small alcove and activates the device. The White Queen's projection appears.

Helhest: We've found the storage module from the mothership and installed it for you.

Helhest: But before we start the upgrade and maintenance program, there's something you need to know.

Helhest: Once you do, you can choose whether you want to continue working with me or not.

The White Queen: If you're referring to your past as an operative, I already know.

Helhest: …What?

The White Queen: I've had far too many run-ins with you as a Crow, and I didn't lose that portion of my memory.

Grom: So that's why you asked if we'd come to kill you when we first met?

The White Queen: Yes.

The White Queen: But once I found out you'd been reborn as a Lightbearer and now served the Iron Lords, I realized the value of cooperating with you as you are now.

The White Queen: I carry the futures of too many people on my shoulders, and every step I take must be carefully considered.

The White Queen: Additionally, I've been observing you while we have been working together.

The White Queen: Seeing as you chose to tell me the truth, I think we can truly cooperate now, free of any grudges.

Helhest: Thank you. You have no idea how much that means to me.

Helhest: So, this storage module isn't your lost memories?

The White Queen: No, it contains messages from our scattered Outreacher members.

The White Queen: With the help of more advanced communications technology, I could send a signal to summon them all back.

The White Queen: But doing so would announce the activity of the Outreachers on Earth and reveal the Reef's existence to the world.

The White Queen: With the Outreachers at the head, we would be leaving the Reef and beginning our quest to unite humanity.

The White Queen: Now, the choice falls to you, Helhest. Will you help me send that signal?

Grom: Helhest…

Helhest: …I need to report this matter to the Iron Lords—all of the Iron Lords I can contact.
