Relic Abilities[edit]
- Passive
- Dance of Sparks: Chain Lightning damage from Ning Fei and his Clones also inflicts Arc Disarray[Key Word 6] for 8s.
- Signatures
- Lightning Strike 12.0s
Corrupt[Key Word 2] Mobility[Key Word 5]
Leaps and smashes down at targets in front of him, dealing Arc damage and inflicting Corrupt. Clones will simultaneously attack with Lightning Strike.
Ning Fei leaps high in the air with the Arc-infused staff and smashes down at a target within a 10-meter radius, creating a 8-meter radius Arc explosion that deals 1656[Parameter 1] damage to targets within and inflicts Corrupt for 6s.
If there are no targets to attack, he will leap 10m forward.
If one of Ning Fei's own Clones are near the target, then it will also attack with Lightning Strike.
- Sidetrick 12.0s
Damage Resistance[Key Word 1] Summon[Key Word 3] Invisibility[Key Word 4] Mobility[Key Word 5]
Dodges and creates a Clone. Clones constantly launch Chain Lightning attacks, and being near one grants Ning Fei Acceleration and Damage Resistance. When a Clone deals damage, it also heals both itself and Ning Fei.
Ning Fei blinks 5 meters ahead in the direction he's moving in and creates a Clone at the reticle's position, up to 12 meters away, that lasts 8s.
Clones attack targets in a 10-meter radius once every 1.2s via the Arc staff's Chain Lightning, dealing 92[Parameter 2] Arc damage.
While within 10 meters of a Clone, Ning Fei gains 40% Acceleration and 20% Damage Resistance. These effects persist for 4s upon leaving its range.
Clones cannot move, can be destroyed by attacks, and can take the same amount of damage as Ning Fei. When Clones deal damage, they heal themselves and Ning Fei for 50%/25% of their damage dealt. Up to 3 Clones can exist at a time.
- Super
- Arts of Staff 60.0s
Ning Fei enters his Super and launches a series of Arc melee attacks, during which his attacks trigger Chain Lightning. Clone damage dealt is also increased, and they can use Leigong Block to block attacks.
Ning Fei draws his staff and infuses it with Arc energy, entering his Super.
During his Super, he wields the Arc staff for a quick 4-par AoE attack, dealing 1190[Parameter 3] Arc damage per hit to targets within a 3-meter radius. When Arts of Staff hits a target, it will also trigger Chain Lightning.
Ning Fei's Clones are enhanced with Arc energy during his Super, increasing all their damage dealt by 30%.
When Ning Fei is idle during his Super, he automatically defends himself with Arts of Staff when attacked, further reducing damage taken.
While in his Super state, he also gains 20% movement speed and high damage resistance.
- Relic Traits
- Mind Meld: Defeating targets with Lightning Strike refunds 100% energy for Sidetrick.
- Acme of Perfection: If a target is hit by Arts of Staff consecutively within 5s, damage dealt will increase. Each consecutive strike increases damage by 10%, up to a 100% increase.
- Lightning Fast Reload: Casting any Signature Ability grants the Lightning Fast Reload[Key Word 7] effect.
- Weapon Mastery
- Arc Overload
- LV.1: Using any ability grants 6 Arc Overload[Key Word 8] stacks.
- LV.2: Increases Overloaded Arc's damage to 30% x current weapon damage.

- LV.4: Overloaded Arc now inflicts Overload Disarray[Key Word 9] on combatants for 8s.

Talent Tree[edit]
- Mirror Image: Sidetrick's max number of charges is increased to 2.

Purple Lightning[edit]
As the staff is drawn, the tempest's roar abates, the lightning's fury stills, and the ocean's wrath subsides into tranquility. Only with the Light's infusion do electric sparks dance at the staff's ends, its power bearing the weight of the world, sworn to shatter every shackle binding the cosmos.

Name: Ning Fei
Race: Human
Revival Location: East Asia, Southeastern Coast
Ghost: Claudia
Relic: Leigong
Ning Fei's recklessness has been a source of headaches for Claudia ever since she resurrected him. It wasn't until she resorted to some rather drastic measures that she could even begin to reign in the rebellious young man.
What she thought was her saving grace—a headband—has proven to be a new problem, though, often activating of its own accord and causing her Lightbearer great pain. Ning Fei and Claudia have traveled to almost every laboratory in the world in search of a solution, hoping to find a chip mentioned in a forgotten log that is capable of fixing the malfunctioning headband.
Claudia[edit]
A stern Ghost who tirelessly guides her Lightbearer, hoping he will one day grow up. When Ning Fei steps out of line, she shows no mercy in disciplining him, yet whenever peril finds him, she serves as the unwavering shield at his side.

Ning Fei: [whispers] Hey, between you and me—where else can I find that "strong drink" from last time?
Kabr: "Strong drink?" Don’t know what you're on about.
Diary[edit]
A Black Cat[edit]
Claudia and I went back to the old lab in Hong Kong today. She says that's where she found me with my headband, so we've got our best shot at finding the chip there. But the place is a total wreck—we're searching for a needle in a haystack.
I saw a black cat staring at me while Claudia was rambling about her "safe" plan. No matter where I went, it'd still be looking straight at me. Not even my clones could fool it. Of all the things I expected to find at the lab, an animal that wasn't afraid of people wasn't one of them. I went to go pet it, but it darted off as soon as I got near, then continued staring at me. Weird. Well, no harm in tailing it to find out what its deal is.
We followed the black cat into the building. The Fallen had rendered everything inside nearly unrecognizable. I couldn't help but ask Claudia if it was like this back then, too. She had the nerve to answer me by asking, "You saw it when I resurrected you, didn't you?" How's anyone supposed to remember anything fresh outta the grave? I gotta say, though, the place is a nightmare to navigate. Dunno how I would've found my way around the crumbling walls if it weren't for the cat leading the way.
After searching for what felt like hours, it finally stopped in front of a pile of clothes. They were tattered, worn, and medium-sized—maybe fit for a teenager. The cat peeled away some of the clothes and pushed a tattered diary in front of us when it saw us approaching. I picked it up and went to pet the black cat, but it was gone! Poof! Vanished in the blink of an eye!
I asked Claudia if she saw it, but she said she hadn't seen any black cat at all. She'd just been following me. So I told her what had just happened. She said people in Eastern cultures believed cats to be spiritual guides. Spiritual guides? So what I saw was…?
Y'know what, next time I see a black cat, I'm bookin' it.
Self-Reflection[edit]
[A crumpled piece of paper wedged into the diary]
I, Ning Fei, should not have snuck out for a drink behind Claudia's back, nor should I have gotten wasted and stayed out all night.
Here's what went down:
After I messaged Kabr for the twentieth time complaining about how boring the drinks had been lately, he finally introduced me to something new—something strong. I followed the clues he'd provided, after walking through some dark and wet tong lau and squeezing through slum alleyways barely wide enough to stand in, I finally found a mysterious wooden door hidden in a corner of the Last City. I suppose it's true what they say—good things don't come easily (even if this place really was a pain to find).
I originally expected it to be some sort of special café. The noises coming from behind the door weren't exactly inviting, but… I kinda liked the vibe. At the time, I was wondering how I'd fake being a regular when I entered. But then this foolish man saw me and asked, what's a kid doing here? The me, how's a mature Lightbearer such as myself to tolerate such an insult?
It's absurd, right? So I did what any reasonable man would do—I waltzed right in and said I'll have what he's having. I took a sip and almost spit it out. Felt like I was drinking paint thinner. These people must've never had good drinks in their life. How else would they actually like this stuff?
But that guy—he finished it in one go! The whole freakin' tankard! No way he wasn't challenging me! So I thought, 'You're on!' and downed mine. I felt dizzy pretty quickly, as if I'd been struck by one of the Fallen's shock grenades. Not exactly a pleasant feeling. But to my surprise, he called for another round. Losing to him would be a disgrace to Lightbearers everywhere. So I ordered another round too! No matter how much he drank, I'd drink one more than him…
And that's the story. I have no idea what that drink was. And alcoholism? Never heard of it.
There. I've said it once, and I've written it down once. Happy?
I, Ning Fei, swear to never drink again.
Record of Symptoms[edit]
May 20
Started documenting the effects of my headband on my body today.
Claudia "volunteered" me for a request to gather supplies today.
May 21
Headband had a slight reaction this afternoon. Felt a bit dizzy.
Might've been from all the walking. Why do I have to run these stupid errands for people? I'm a Lightbearer, not a delivery boy.
May 22
The reaction to the headband seemed to be intermittent. I had two headaches today, one on the road and one right before a break. Both of them nearly killed me.
Climbing mountains, rummage through garbage, and moving scrap metal with a headache is actual torture.
May 23
The headband issue has been getting worse recently. I can feel the tingling even in combat.
After one fight, I told Claudia the headache was so bad I couldn't walk, and you know what she said? That I was just faking it to get out of work!
[The following paragraph is bolded and enlarged]
I'm so pissed. She thought I was faking it!
She just doesn't trust me at all. I can't stand her!
Master of Deception Guide—Chapter 1[edit]
Deception Guide Mind Tricks Telepathy Guide
The key to deception is belief. You have to get your target to trust focus believe that everything that's happening is natural, as opposed to some plan of yours. I'll start with a simple example: the easiest of card tricks. Firstly, show your cards at a speed that makes it hard for people to process, making sure no one remembers a single card. Then—and this part is really important—the second time you shuffle through, pause for a moment on the card you want the person to pick. Note that you have to make this pause look natural. That way, they're guaranteed to pick that card. Don't ask me how to memorize the order of the cards; I won't be going over basic techniques here.
Our conversation might stop here if I were teaching someone else, but as your mentor, it's my duty to give you another example. Once, I needed to run some errands without Claudia following me, so I secretly wrote in my diary, "My headband might cause dizziness. No one should disturb me at that time." And Claudia saw it—"accidentally" of course. When she questioned me, I came up with some excuse about how I didn't want others to think I had issues or something. And after a few well-time "dizzy spells," the next time I sneak out using my doppelganger? She'll never suspect a thing. So you see? The point is to convince her that it's really happening.
[The notes here are more recent]
How dare Tan-2 laugh at me and call my great deceptions "childish tricks." He's the child here, not me! I'm gonna finish writing this book, and we'll see who's laughing then!

Once, there was a notorious villain who was highly skilled in martial arts, had killed numerous people, and bullied everyone he saw. No one dared to mess with him. His lackeys were just as vicious and cruel as him, breaking the law and doing whatever they pleased. The villain had been practicing martial arts ever since he was little. Naturally, everyone was scared of him.
One day, he and his goons plundered a village, killed all the men, took all the women, and were going to set the whole place on fire. But strangely enough, none of the villain's henchmen returned. He grew anxious and was about to see for himself, when suddenly, he felt a gust of wind and instinctively dodged, narrowly avoiding the blow. He was shocked. Who was possibly skilled enough to sneak up on him?!
He then turned and saw before him a handsome, elegant, otherworldly young man holding an iron staff. The young man shouted at the villain, "Let them go, and I'll spare you." The villain wanted to laugh at his arrogance, but he could sense danger behind that handsome youthfulness. Thus, he ignored the young man and summoned his underlings. But then he heard a voice in his ear, saying, "There's no one to call for. You're the only one left." The villain then fell to the ground, unconscious. The young man put away his staff and ignored the rescued ladies' (of which there were three: one with ivory skin and wearing a flora and checkered-patterned dress, the second with eyes as bright as the moon and long seaweed-like hair, and as for the third… I'll think of something soon) appreciation, telling them, "I'm no hero," and left. Thus was the legend of the Great Hero Fei born.

Subject 305[edit]
[This note was carefully folded and hidden in the diary. The paper is yellowed and worn, and it looks to have been torn from a different journal.]
It's another painful day. We've been locked up in this lab for weeks. They've been torturing us with all sorts of strange drugs and instruments. Some of us couldn't hold out any longer and perished.
But not me. I can't give up yet. I am NOT their slave.
They brought a strange headband today. As soon as Subject 303 next to me put it on, he instantly entered a trance, as if his soul had been drained. When it was my turn, I resisted with all I had. I am not their dog. I won't let them put a leash on me!
And they said it's "for the good of humanity." Bull! It's nothing but a bunch of lies meant to trick us. Those heartless monsters then tested the headband's disciplinary function on me. I felt as if my head was being torn apart.
Subject 304 in the room beside mine broke down tonight. She told me through the wall about how much she missed her family and how she just wanted to go home. She said she didn't know how she was found or why she was locked up here. She cries every night, saying how scared she is.
I told her to hang in there, and that I'd find a way to get her out.
Pillory[edit]
I, Ning Fei, hereby allow Claudia to record the duel between myself and Wu Ming and place it in my diary, where it shall remain forever. This I swear.
Are you kidding? This is me we're talking about. I don't lose. It's just Wu Ming. I got his in the bag!
[The following is written in neat handwriting.]
10:00 Ning Fei, who said just yesterday that he would wake up early to prepare, is still sleeping.
11:00 Ning Fei got up and spaced out for half an hour, then spent the next half hour looking for his cards.
13:00 He said that he was practicing his technique, but 5 minutes later he started arguing with other card game enthusiasts in the Ghost forums.
14:00 Arrived and began the game.
14:30 Ning Fei, the so-called Trickster, neither knew not understood any tricks. Wu Ming proposed to end the game for the first time.
14:40 The decided to compete using the simplest method.
15:30 From two out of three, to three out of five, to four out of seven, Ning Fei hasn't won a single game, and the victory conditions are still rising.
16:30 Nearly all of the audience has left, and Ning Fei still hasn't won a single game. Wu Ming proposed to end the game for the second time.
16:45 A passerby saw Ning Fei making some "indescribably weird" praying gestures in the restoom.
17:00 Ning Fei started questioning whether Wu Ming was cheating and asked him to use the tip of his nose or tongue to deal cards. Wu Ming refused.
17:08 Ning Fei demanded that the cat at the door be the dealer. Wu Ming refused. Both sides started randomly selecting dealers from the audience.
17:30 Some of the audience members began refusing to deal. During the continuous changing of dealers, Ning Fei demanded Mishra place the "E-Pot of Greed" from the Wolf Den in the corner position of his back row to enhance "Favorable Paracausality." Mishra turned him down.
18:00 Ning Fei still hasn't won a single game after changing five decks, sixteen dealers, and three locations.
18:30 Wu Ming proposed to end the game for the third time, and Ning Fei refused.
19:00 Wu Ming let Ning Fei win a game and finally ended it.
22:00 Ning Fei announced his victory against Wu Ming on the forums and soon got into more arguments.
Hairstyling Record[edit]
[Each note is separated by a period of time.]
Shoulder-length Hair: Original hairstyle, which does show my dashing looks, but blocks my vision in combat. Some people also say adjusting my hair after every battle is "not manly". They know nothing about beauty.
Short Hair: Sometimes I do want to reveal my forehead—lets me show off more of my stunning face, after all. But short cuts are risky, as I've heard that Lightbearers' hair doesn't grow. In that case, if I wanted to switch it up again, I'd be stuck.
Tied Up: Most of the warriors in the martial arts novels I've been reading lately are portrayed in this way. I just need to tie my hair up, trim my bangs, and voila! The perfect new hairstyle. It's decided. I'll have the barber do it tomorrow.
My new hair is stylish, and everyone notices the change in me. It's strange that everyone tells me that I must cherish my new hairstyle after I tell them that I spent three days designing it, two hours explaining it to three different hairdressers (the first two actually complained about me; they just don't get it), and five hours getting it done. Of course I'm going to cherish it. This hairstyle is so me.
Claudia, why didn't you tell me resurrections reset my hairstyle?! Three days of designing, two hours of explaining, and five hours of waiting, all WASTED!
I, Ning Fei, hereby pledge to listen to Claudia's commands advice for three months, or else my hairstyle will reset every time I am revived.

The famous Jiangshi Metro Hostage Rescue Operation:
As many already have heard, Jiangshi Metro was recently plagued by a string of shocking and mysterious civilian kidnappings committed by the Fallen near the Ketch wreckage. A Lightbearer named Ning Fei, without any clues to go off, took the job and found traces of the Fallen after investigating for less than two hours. Unfortunately, the cunning Fallen took the civilians away just as he arrived on the scene. Turned out that the Fallen had kidnapped the people in an attempt to recreate a human experiment that tortured people's minds and would cause irreversible damage. Fortunately, the clever Ning Fei found the Fallen's lair through the trail they'd left and saved the victims alongside Wolf. The civilians were so exceptionally grateful that they called Ning Fei "the hero of Jiangshi Metro." (Source: External submission from "The Great Fei")
