"And my vanquisher will read that book, seeking the weapon, and they will come to understand me, where I have been and where I was going."

Wolf receives a series of messages from Tan-2.

Tan-2: I have a question:

Tan-2: If someone initially intended to kill you,

Tan-2: but ended up saving you,

Tan-2: should you forgive them?

Wolf contacts Tan-2 over comms.

Wolf: Tan? What's going on? Is someone after you?

Tan-2: Hey, you got a minute? I'll be waiting for you at the tavern.

Wolf overhears Tan-2 and Tethra's conversation at the tavern.

Tan-2: I'm an adult now! I can drink what I want!

Tethra: Whatever you say.

Tan-2: I'm just…

Tethra: In a bad mood.

Tan-2: No, I'm fine! I just wanna know what it tastes like!

Tethra: Please, you're anything but "fine". You look terrible.

Wolf approaches Tan-2.

Tan-2: Ah, there you are!

Wolf: What exactly happened? Where's Yannick?

Tan-2: He tricked me! That jerk—!

Tan-2: You were right. I should've reported him to Radegast in the first place!

Tan-2: All that talk about separating his consciousness from my body… He just wanted to wipe MY consciousness so he could take over MY body! Hah, in his dreams!

Tan-2: But the worst part is…he almost succeeded.

Tan-2: I'm such an idiot, letting him play me like that.

Wolf (Option): But you won, didn't you?

Tan-2: I don't know. Maybe… I guess.

Tan-2: When I thought he was on my side, he wanted to kill me, but when I realized he was no good, he saved me.

Tan-2: …Even if it meant risking himself.

Tan-2: Maybe I never truly understood him—couldn't get into his head, y'know?

Wolf (Option): People are complicated.

Tan-2: You can say that again.

Tan-2: Sometimes I can't even figure myself out.

Tan-2: I should be happy now, shouldn't I?

Tan-2: I got the relic, I killed the parasite that wanted to kill me, and I don't have to worry about Radegast finding out and kicking me out of Haven.

Tan-2: I got everything I wanted. I should be celebrating all this with you now…

Wolf: But you don't seem happy at all.

Tan-2: …

Tan-2: I keep thinking I should forgive Yannick. Stupid, right?

Wolf (Option): Seems he was important to you.

Tan-2: He was a jerk, no doubt about it, but he was also the one who taught me how to survive.

Tan-2: How to pick better weapons, how to use the relic, how to stand up against anyone who looked down on me…

Tan-2: He always mocked me, called me a rookie, pointed out every little mistake… But he was also the one who always stepped up and gave me a hand when I needed it most.

Wolf (Option): Sounds like some sort of incompetent teacher.

Tan-2: He was not!

Tan-2: Well… I hate to admit it, but maybe he was.

Tan-2: The worst, most annoying kind of teacher out there.

Tan-2: Man, if he knew I said that, he'd never let me hear the end of it.

Tan-2: Ugh, forget it.

Tan-2: Not like he can hear me now anyway.

Wolf (Option): Is he…dead?

Tan-2: Dead, disappeared, wiped—I dunno.

Tan-2: But what I do know is there's only one consciousness-one voice in my head now.

Wolf (Option): Do you want to find him?

Tan-2: Pfft! Why'd I do that?

Tan-2: So he can keep annoying me and mocking me for caring?

Wolf: Is how he feels and thinks important to you?

Tan-2: Huh?

Wolf: If you want to do something, it's because you think that something's important.

Wolf: So, do you want to find him?

Tan-2: …

Tan-2: I dunno. Should I?

Tan-2: I…I need some time to think it over.

Wolf: If you decide to do it and need help, just say the word.

Tan-2: Thanks. Wolf.
