The Crow and the Hawk is a mission that required to complete the Exotic Quest, "Let Loose Thy Talons", during Season of the Hunt and awards the base version of Hawkmoon. After having battled Savathûn's forces, charged Hawkmoon with paracausal energy, and followed the Traveler's visions, The Guardian and Crow journey back to the Hallowed Grove in the EDZ to reforge Hawkmoon.

Objectives

• Clear Out the Taken

Defeat the Taken in the Hallowed Grove.

• Follow the Hawk

Return to the Shard of the Traveler.

• Destroy the Taken Barrier
  • Barrier integrity: X%

Defeat Taken to create orbs of condensed paracausal energy that can damage the Taken barrier.

• Approach the Shard of the Traveler

Complete Hawkmoon's resurrection.

• Commune with the Traveler

It is time. Commune with the Traveler and receive its message.

• Face the Forces of Savathûn

Defeat the Taken Champion.

{Mission begins}

Hallowed Grove, European Dead Zone

The Guardian enters the Hallowed Grove.

• Glint: There's increased Taken activity here. It's going to be much more dangerous than last time.

• The Crow: Good thing we're here to back you up.

The Guardian battles Taken and Emissaries of Savathun in the Hallowed Grove and follows the paracausal hawk.

Hallowed Rift, European Dead Zone

• The Crow: The Traveler is calling for us.

The Guardian returns to the Shard of the Traveler. They discover a huge Taken blight completely covering it.

• The Crow: What have they done? What are they doing? We have to stop this!

Lightseeker Acolytes release condensed paracausal energy, which the Guardian uses to destroy the Taken blight. The Taken retreat upon its destruction.

• Ghost: Hawkmoon is resonating with the Shard. I think this is it.

The Guardian approaches the Shard and Hawkmoon is reforged completely.

• The Crow: It's done.

The Guardian communes with the Traveler again, but is cut off by the Taken. Ishrasek, Lightbinder of Savathun, ambushes the Guardian.

• Ghost: You're... the Traveler, aren't you? Or you're a part of it. Of us. Paracausal energy readings are — my sensors are overloading! The Taken are trying to stop us from communing with the Traveler!

The Taken are defeated.

• Ghost: Energy readings have normalized. The hawk... it's gone.

• Glint: I'm not picking up anything either.

• Ghost: Savathûn.

• The Crow: Hawkmoon is whole again. Reborn. She can't take that from us.
