Mission Captis is the fifth mission of Episode: Heresy.
Objectives[edit]
- Meet Eris
- Regroup with Eris at the binding ritual location and prepare to summon forth the Echo of Navigation.
- Prepare the Ritual
- Sacrifice the Flesh of Akka and summon forth the Echo of Navigation to begin the Ritual of Binding.
- Complete the Binding
- Buy time for Eris to complete the Ritual of Binding! Prevent the Resonant Knife from interrupting by completing the rune patterns.

Eris Morn: Guardian, we are poised to strike, and strike first. Meet me aboard the Dreadnaught. I will perform our ritual where I fell. Oryx will bend to our strength, and my throne will be his prison.
(Mission Begins)
Hall of Souls, Dreadnaught, Rings of Saturn
- Arriving on the Dreadnaught, the Guardian travels to the portal frame of the Hall of Souls. Following their arrival, Eris Morn transmats to the top of the steps wielding her Ahamkara bone.
Eris Morn: Guardian! Savathûn and Xivu Arath's forces close on us like jagged teeth. Thwart them. Protect the ritual as I bind the Echo of the Navigator to my throne world. I will subdue the Taken King. Capture him. Cleave him from his throne! He will not escape my power. I will be his jailer yet!
- Eris Morn transmats away and the Guardian steps within the plate to sacrifice Akka's flesh. Beginning the ritual of the binding, the Guardian successfully summons forth the Echo of Navigation. To prevent Eris's ritual from succeeding, the Resonant Knife materializes on the top step and manifests Blights that bring forth Dire Taken.
The Resonant Knife attempts to disrupt the ritual!
- As the Guardian eliminates the various Dire Taken, the Resonant Knife summons dozens of Acolyte's Eyes in the middle while Hive runes manifest at the middle, left and right sides of the location. Destroying the unique Acolyte's Eyes known as the Eyes of Vengeance, the Guardian replicates the Hive rune at the middle. The remaining Acolyte's Eyes dissipate and the Hive rune then manifests a verticals line that attaches itself onto the Echo.
Eris Morn: His power is immense. But so is yours, Guardian!
- The Guardian eliminates the Dire Taken summoned by the Resonant Knife.
The Resonant Knife attempts to disrupt the ritual!
- The Resonant Knife summons Acolyte's Eyes on the right side. Destroying the Eyes of Vengeance, the Guardian replicates the Hive rune and attaches the Echo to it.
Eris Morn: Our bindings hold fast! Press on!
- The Guardian eliminates the Dire Taken summoned by the Resonant Knife.
The Resonant Knife attempts to disrupt the ritual!
- The Resonant Knife summons Acolyte's Eyes on the left side. Destroying the Eyes of Vengeance, the Guardian replicates the Hive rune and attaches the Echo to it.
The Echo of Navigation is bound to Eris's throne world!
- With the ritual of binding completed, the Resonant Knife retreats from the confrontation. As the portal manifests, the Hive runes vanish as the Echo of Navigation is transported and bound to Eris Morn's throne world.
Eris Morn: [cackles menacingly]
- The Hive portal dissipates.
Eris Morn: Magnificent.
