Appellation is the sixth mission of Episode: Heresy.

Objectives

• Head to the Ritual Site

Make your way to the Founts to prepare for the ritual.

• Clear the Area

Defeat Taken stranglers to clear room for the forging ritual.

• Rendezvous With Sloane

Rendezvous with Sloane at the destination to begin.

• Defend Sloane

Taken strive to claim the Deputy-Commander. Protect her while she focuses.

• Emerge Triumphant

Sloane must complete the forging. Defeat Taken to ensure she has the time she needs.

Transcript

Eris Morn: Sloane is waiting for you, Guardian. Though we have the hilt, we still lack a shard. And so none but a Taken hand will serve to reforge Willbreaker. And she is not completely Taken. She will need your help. Our help.

(Mission Begins)

The Guardian arrives to the Founts on the Dreadnaught.

The Founts, Dreadnaught, Rings of Saturn

The Guardian travels to the centre room of the Founts and eliminate the Dire Taken infesting the location. With Sloane materializing on the bridge, the Guardian rendezvous with Sloane to prepare the ritual.

Sloane: Right. No point in waiting around. Let's just get this done with.

Sloane creates a small Ward of Dawn around herself for protection. Meanwhile, multiple Blights manifest around the Founts as swarms of Dire Taken emerge in an attempt to claim Sloane. Defeating the various Dire Taken around the room, further Blights materalize as the Guardian and Sloane are transported to the Offering Ground.

Offering Ground, Restricted Zone

Sloane: Wipe out anything with a living will in there that isn't you. The Deep made me an offer, once, and it hasn't forgotten. Something's still reaching out. But I'm the one in control here.

The Guardian defeats the Dire Taken entering into the Offering Grounds.

Sloane: There is a knife for me. It is shaped like… Bulwark against despair. I… No.

The Guardian is torn between dimensions.

Eris Morn: The brittle steel breaks. Breathe deep — hold gentle. Guardian! Destroy the Taken!

Sloane: A new shape… I refuse. I REFUSE.

The Guardian defeats the Dire Taken while Sloane successfully completes the reconstruction of Willbreaker.

Sloane: Don't have to take an offer just because someone makes it. I have this. Be right with you, Guardian.

The Guardian and Sloane are transported back to the Founts, emerging triumphant. With Willbreaker reconstructed, Sloane transmatts away and the Taken Blights dissipate.

Sloane: Willbreaker. Complete again. Look at it. Your power, our will. That core is OUR knife, no one else's. We should head back to Eris. Show her what we've made.
