Hobgoblins are a type of Vex. They are larger than Goblins and have tails.[1] They are usually armed with sniper-like Line Rifles that are capable of a large amount of damage at long range, and they are incredibly accurate. When shot, Hobgoblins will briefly project an impenetrable shield that burns Guardians that step in it. Occasionally, they make use of Slap Grenades to force players out of cover.
