Revenant is a Stasis-based Hunter subclass. It was released in the Beyond Light expansion in Destiny 2.


The Hunter Revenant embodies the idea of slowing the battle around them with their Stasis powers. Fitting in with the "ninja" archetype, they utilize a variety of ninjutsu-themed abilities including throwing shurikens and kamas formed from Stasis energy to debilitate their enemies' movements to the Hunter's perception; essentially slowing the molecular activity of their foes until they are frozen and shatter on contact. The Hunter also utilize a dive that shatters crystals and frozen enemies on impact and passive abilities that could spawn Stasis shards on melee kills and enhance the effects of their grenades.[1]

A Fallen Captain stalks his prey through the barrens of Europa, Servitor at his back. The wind kicks up shimmering plumes of frost; he doesn't see the frozen kama hurtling towards him. It strikes with a deafening crack; the Servitor is gone. The Captain flees for cover, but it's too late — he is frozen in a crystalline prison.

His battle cry freezes in his throat; there is only deafening silence. He sees a shadow approaching, cloaked in the ice and whirling snow, but it vanishes as quickly as it appeared. Fear grips him as he scans the white wastes.

A second kama pierces the ice shelf. Biting whirlwinds erupt and tear at his frozen body. He catches a glimpse of the shadow in the squall, rifle in hand. The hunt has ended; he shatters in the wind.


Revenant subclass background


  • Silence and Squall: Summon two Stasis kamas, Silence and Squall, that you throw one after the other.
    • Silence: Creates a flash-freeze blast that freezes and damages targets.
    • Squall: Creates a Stasis Storm that slows and damages targets caught inside.


  • Glacier Grenade: A grenade that creates walls out of Stasis crystals to block damage and freeze targets; these walls can be shattered for damage.
  • Duskfield Grenade: A grenade that shatters on impact, leaving behind a field that slows targets and freezes those who do not leave the volume.
  • Coldsnap Grenade: A grenade that freezes on impact and sends another seeker to find and freeze targets.


  • Withering Blade: Toss a Stasis Shuriken at targets to damage and slow them.


  • High Jump: Upgrades Double Jump with even greater height.
  • Strafe Jump: Upgrades Double Jump with better directional control while in the air.
  • Triple Jump: Upgrades Double Jump with a third jump.

Class Abilities

  • Marksman Dodge: Automatically reload your equipped weapon while dodging.
  • Gambler's Dodge: Dodging near enemies generates Melee energy.


  • Shatterdive (A frozen scream trapped in gemstone; the recognition of a great and terrible truth. You descend upon your enemies with the enormity of the Dark.): Activate while midair to quickly descend and shatter nearby targets on impact. Fragment Slots (2)
  • Winter's Shroud (A desire for legacy, to be known, preserved in sterile glass. The world stops and starts at your command.): Dodging slows nearby targets. Fragment Slots (2)
  • Grim Harvest (A worn blade, hewn by vicious crystalline razors; a single edge now severed into a thousand. You rend the universe itself and drink its seeping energy.): Defeating slowed or frozen targets creates Stasis shards. These shards grant melee energy when picked up by you or your allies. While Grim Harvest is equipped, picking up Stasis shards grants stacks of Frost Armor. Fragment Slots (3)
  • Touch of Winter (The two-pronged alloy skull of a Vex machine, its malevolent eye seemingly even brighter when contrasted with the cosmic shards around it. It is a machine of destruction, somehow made more menacing by its icy prison.): Your Glacier, Duskfield, and Coldsnap grenades have enhanced functionality.
    • Glacier Grenade: Adds a Stasis crystal and changes the formation.
    • Duskfield Grenade: Increases slow-field size and creates a small Stasis crystal on impact.
    • Coldsnap Grenade: Seeker creates a Stasis crystal on detonation and chains one additional time. Fragment Slots (2)


  • Whisper of Bonds: Defeating frozen targets with weapons grants super energy. -10 Intellect.
  • Whisper of Chains: Defeating targets while you have Frost Armor has a chance to create a Stasis Shard. +10 Recovery.
  • Whisper of Chill: Stasis weapon final blows have a chance to create a Stasis Shard.
  • Whisper of Conduction: Nearby Stasis shards track to your position. +10 Intellect; +10 Resilience.
  • Whisper of Durance: Increases the duration of slow effects and those with lingering effects also last longer. +10 Strength.
  • Whisper of Fissures: Increases the damage and burst radius of Stasis when you destroy a Stasis crystal or defeat a frozen target.
  • Whisper of Fractures: Shattering a frozen target with a melee attack grants a stack of Frost Armor. -10 Discipline.
  • Whisper of Hedrons: Dramatically increases weapon stability, aim assist, airborne effectiveness, mobility, resilience, and recovery after freezing a target with Stasis. -10 Strength.
  • Whisper of Hunger: Increases the melee energy gained from picking up Stasis shards. -20 Strength.
  • Whisper of Impetus: Damaging targets with a Stasis melee reloads your stowed weapons and grants you a temporary boost to weapon ready speed. +10 Resilience.
  • Whisper of Refraction: Defeating a slowed or frozen enemy provides class ability energy.
  • Whisper of Rending: Primary ammo weapons do increased damage to Stasis crystals and frozen targets.
  • Whisper of Reversal: While you have Frost Armor, melee damage slows your target.
  • Whisper of Rime: Your Frost Armor has increased duration and maximum stack count.
  • Whisper of Shards: Shattering a Stasis crystal boosts your grenade recharge rate; shatter additional crystals to increase the duration of the effect.
  • Whisper of Torment: You gain grenade energy each time you take damage from targets. Having Frost Armor increases the amount of energy gained. -10 Discipline
