The Undying Mind is a Strike on Aloria, taking place entirely within the Black Garden. It comes with The Dark Below Arc. The fireteam's objective is to kill a Vex Hydra named The Undying Mind before it can resurrect the Black Heart.

- Rikia: The Black Garden may not stay among us for long. Something has begun to repair the schism torn by its destruction. Vex now flood the Garden channels to protect it. We must stop the weavers before they seal the Garden and begin to summon back its heart.
The players spawns in the Black Garden.

The fireteam takes out large hordes of Vex units surrounding them, including Minotaurs and Hydras that should be dealt with cautiously. After all waves are cleared, the gate opens and the players can continue.
After climbing to the top, Precursor Minotaurs, Goblins and Hobgoblins appear, along with a major Divisive Oculator. The fireteam eliminates them and continues through the Garden.
When the players reach the final encounter area, Goblins and Minotaurs spawn through a portal. After they are killed, the confluxes activate and the Undying Mind spawns. The fireteam kills it, along with waves of Precursors on the ground.
Rikia: The Black Garden remains here, among the Light. But the Vex will never cease until their birthplace is restored, and we must keep it here until we can understand its origins.
Ellie, Lady of the Veil: Do not worry about its origins, all will be explained in time. Fireteam I await you at your Bastion, we must speak.
