Celestial Nighthawk is an exotic Hunter helmet added in the House of Wolves. This helmet converts the Gunslinger's Golden Gun into an all-or-nothing weapon, restricting it to a single but extremely powerful shot.

Upgrades

TIER 1

  • Ashes to Asset - Replenish Super energy when you kill an enemy with a grenade

TIER 2

  • Inverse Shadow - Increased Super energy gained from killing minions of the Darkness

TIER 3

  • Big Game - Golden Gun fires one shot, delivering 6x damage, while granting Keyhole for overpenetration

Year 2 Version

Celestial Nighthawk is a revamped exotic Hunter helmet added in The Taken King expansion. This helmet converts the Gunslinger's Golden Gun into an all-or-nothing weapon, restricting it to a single but extremely powerful shot.

Trivia

  • During development, this helmet was named "ExoTac Angel Hunter" and its description was "Built from a Golden Age combat pilot sensorium, it orients the brain during sharp maneuvers." Its main perk originally increased weapon accuracy for a short time after jumping.
