Battleground: Foothold is a Mission in the Battlegrounds activity that was added in Season of the Chosen. The Guardian and their fireteam learn of a battle between the Imperial Cabal and the Hive in the Cosmodrome and seek to challenge Val Ma'rag in a Rite of Proving to disrupt the Cabal hold on the region.
