Zâtrox, the Necromancer is a Hive Necromancer and esteemed member of Shin'ra, the Sorrow Maker's Court of Shadows. A practitioner of Necromacy, his skills of raising the dead were unmatched, giving him quite the reputation as a heretic within the Hidden Swarm and the Weavers of Sorrow, along with being a member of the devoted cult of the Sorrow Maker. He serves as the final boss of the Shadow's Dawn Dungeon.

Following the defeat and subsequent death of Shin'ra and the rest of the Court of Shadows, Zâtrox began to rally the members of the the Weavers within the Pit of Decay in a bid to resurrect the Court to bring forth the prophesied return of the first Sorrow Maker.
