An Expanding Problem

Objective(s):	Help Alana in tracking the strange expansion of the Citadel's roots throughout Venus.

An Expanding Problem is a secret mission unlocked while progressing the Wool Over Eyes Exotic quest. After defeating one of the Vex bosses of the Boundless Crossroads activity, the Guardian receives a strange component from them. With the aid of Alana Reyn, they soon learn that the device is connected to the very roots of the Citadel, and that it is detecting its expansion across the crust of the planet. After following the signal around, as well as defeating the Elite Vex protecting those sites, the Guardian soon finds their permissions to access those depths granted, and thus investigate the expanding problem proper.

Objectives

• Delve into the Citadel Roots
  • Use your access permissions, and dive into the heart of the Vex Citadel.
• Push Through
  • Dismantle the Vex defenses blocking your way.
• Find the Deceased Guardians
  • New orders came in from the Vanguard. Investigate the remains of a missing Guardian Fireteam.
• Progress Forward
  • With the remains recovered, continue into the Citadel
• Defeat the Warring Factions
  • The Fallen have found their way down here. Eliminate them and the Vex they are battling.
• Reroute Power
  • Move energized Radiolaria throughout the Roots to open the way forward.
• Draw out the Sniper
  • The Fallen aren't done! Flush out the Fallen sniper in order to safely progress.
• Reroute Power
  • The Fallen have retreated, for now… Continue rerouting Radiolaria power.
• Stand your Ground
  • The baryonic ward is dissipating. Stand your ground, and brave the Fallen assault.
• Defeat Inexis, Splicer Priestess
  • The sniper and commander of the House of Dusk forces is exposed. Eliminate them and their lackeys.
