The Tome of Want is an item used to influence rewards that can be earned by applying Taken Scriptures and activating a Ritual of Desire by spending Essences of Desire after applying the appropriate Scriptures. This Item also have Engravings that enhance perks from the Tablet of Ruin Seasonal Artifact while a ritual is active.
Scriptures[edit]
Permanent Scriptures are unlocked by exploring the Dreadnaught. These Scriptures are not consumed upon activating a ritual. This category of Scriptures will target a broad category of gear that can be earned from activities throughout Episode: Heresy. Activating a ritual with only a Permanent Scripture will cost players 2 Essences of Desire. Crumbling Scriptures can be earned by destroying Sigils, turning in 10 Metastasized Essentia to the Taken Altar in Eris's apartment, or purchased with Sigil Stones within the Tome of Want. This category of Scriptures will focus a specific gear that can be earned and unlike Permanent Scriptures, are consumed when a ritual is activated. Activating a ritual with a Crumbling Scripture in conjunction with a Permanent Scripture will cost players 5 Essences of Desire. Amorphous Scriptures can be earned in the same method as Crumbling Scriptures. This category of Scriptures only carry 1 ritual charge, is consumed when a ritual is activated like Crumbling Scriptures, and will give players high-end materials dependent on the Permanent Scripture that was selected. Activating a ritual with an Amorphous Scripture in conjunction with a Permanent Scripture will cost players 5 Essences of Desire.
Engravings[edit]
Engravings are unlocked by ranking up the Shaping Slab within Eris's apartment whilst walking the Path of Resolve and the Path of Ambition. While a ritual is active, artifact perks from the Tablet of Ruin Seasonal Artifact are boosted until the ritual charges are depleted from the Tome of Want. The first Engraving is unlocked upon acquiring the Tome of Want when they have reached Rank 3 within the Path of Resolve at the Shaping Slab. After all of the Engravings are unlocked on a column from the Shaping Slab, players will be able to select the Engraving they want to use on before activating a ritual.
