Kinox is one of the daughters of Crota, Son of Oryx. She and her sisters Hashladûn, Besurith, and Voshyr took control of the Hidden Swarm on the Moon and began experimenting with the Pyramid buried beneath the surface, seeking a way to resurrect their grandfather Oryx, the Taken King. Later, after the arrival of the Pyramids, she and her sister Voshyr attempted to commune with the High Celebrant, a champion of their great-aunt Xivu Arath, God of War having entered the system to build an army of Wrathborn for her. They were immediately confronted by the Warlock Osiris, who her son, Ulg'Urin, with a Nova Bomb. It is unknown whether she perished along with him, but judging from the lore it is a possibility she survived and has become not only the last remaining noble of Oryx's dynasty, but also the sole Hive de-facto power on the moon and thus the leader of the remaining Hidden Swarm
