The Hunt for the Lost was an operation conducted by Mara Sov and the Awoken of The Reef in order to search for and rescue her Techeuns who had been Taken, in order to conduct an exorcism on Savathûn, the Witch Queen's worm, who in return would grant the return of the Warlock Osiris, who she had possessed in order to evade her sister, Xivu Arath. With the help of Saint-14, The Crow, and The Guardian, along with Queen’s Wrath Petra Venj and the Corsairs, Mara Sov was able to save her Techeuns and conducted the ritual on Savathûn. Although they were successful with exorcising Savathûn's worm and receiving Osiris, he was returned in a comatose state, and Savathûn eventually became the first Hive member to be resurrected by the Traveler's Light.
