Objective(s):	Conquerors dabble with dark powers beneath the seas. Infiltrate their covert base and reduce it to rubble.

Tartarus Blacksite is an Exotic Mission introduced in Season of the Witch for the New Light experience. It serves as the final activity for Chapter 4 of New Light and is must be completed for the final step of the Reigning Fire questline. Completion of the exotic mission rewards players with the Viator Delenda Hand Cannon; a Legendary mission run also yields an ornament, and secrets within the mission yields catalysts for the weapon.

Objectives

• Reach Blacksite Tartarus
  • Intrusion is successful. Trek the waters of the Tasman Sea in search of the Blacksite.
• Sneak into the Base
  • Avoid detection from the Blacksite's defenses, lest your mission end before it even began.
• Raise Hell
  • You're in. Eliminate the Cabal defenses and destroy whatever critical components you may find.
• Lift the Lockdown
  • Find a way out of the Lockdown. Do not allow the Red Legion to overwhelm and corner you.
• Reach the High Security Wing
  • Reach the heart of the blacksite, where they run their most crucial and heinous of experiments.
• Find a Way Back In
  • The Cabal destroyed the bridge and sent you back into the crushing depths of the sea. Avoid detection once more and reenter the blacksite.
• Pass through the Detention Level
  • Inside the facility once more, pass through the detention level and continue destroying the Cabal's research.
• Destroy the Research
  • Deny the Red Legion power over the Hive occult and Taken power!
• Defeat the Commander
  • Eliminate the mad commander. Do not let his research and powers leave this facility.
