Judges are a large and powerful variant of Hive Knights, are a random spawn in missions involving the Hive.

Gameplay

These Knights are large Knights that appear as rare spawns in Hive Controlled locations. They have various abilities, these include the Darkness Barrier in which instead of summoning a single Wall of Darkness, they summon three to add better coverage from incoming fire. They also summon Clouds of Darkness, which were an ability exclusive to Hive Wizards, and can lob Solar Mortar grenades. The Judges are also have an additional ability of being able to summon Vestiges on the ground, which will damage players who step on them and remain even after the Judge who created them has been killed. However unlike the Watchers and Wakers these Vestiges will despawn after a long period of time (presumably about 10 minutes). They even possess the ability to slam their fist into the ground for an AOE Melee. They have variant that appears as an Ultra. They otherwise act just like their basic counterpart dependant on their weapons; if they have an axe for example they will act more like a Darkblade lumbering towards you and enter Berserk mode when helmet lost.

Trivia

• In similar fashion to Aethiks, Instrument of Xivu Arath and Once-Ezriks, Retainer to Xivu Arath, Judges can appear as Majors despite their size. They are also immune to Finishers much like an Ultra despite being Major, though this only applies to their more common Major variant.
