Step 1[edit]

Meet Lodi in the Curtilage Divide within the Exile's Accord.

  • Lodi consulted

The strange man you met upon arriving at Kepler, Lodi, has promised to help you navigate the Exile's Accord and retrieve the Aionian's lost strangelet capsule from the Archon. First, he needs your help conducting some preliminary investigations of the region. He shares what he does know: the Accord is segmented by temporal distortions, but he's seen Eliksni commanders use particles like keys to phase through them. They're called Accelerons.

  • Lodi: I heard you had a run-in with that Archon fellow. Or his cutouts, at least. Apparently, he's the leader of these exiled Eliksni, but nobody's seen him in a long time. A real recluse. The Archon says he can speak through the mouths of his followers. Like some kind of psychic thing. But that's absurd, right? Have you seen this little ventriloquist act? Huh. Well, I'll believe it when I see it myself. I suggest you do a little bang-and-burn to draw out their leadership. Once we know exactly who we're dealing with, we can do a more realistic threat assessment.

Step 2[edit]

Engage the Exiles to acquire the Relocator tech and the Acceleron held by the Exile commander here.

  • Relocator
  • Acceleron: Displacement

Lodi has heard rumors of the House of Exile's teleportation technology being integrated with the dark matter found throughout Kepler. He tells you from his translations, it's something the Exiles call "Relocator." He's hoping his new friend can help him take a closer look in a hostile environment.

  • Lodi: I haven't been very deep into the Exile's Accord. The aren't fond of visitors. This architecture seems a little bit out of the box.
  • Ghost: We've dealt with Eliksni Houses before, but this does feel different.
  • Ikora: Lodi, I need to be frank. I don't buy your story.
  • Lodi: [laughs] Yeah, well, you don't know the half of it. If I wasn't me, I also wouldn't buy my story.
  • Ikora: What do you know about whatever brought you here?
  • Lodi: Nothing. I woke up here in a singed suit after the most insane fall of my life.
Using Matterspark, the Guardian makes their way through a tunnel.
  • Lodi: It seems the local Eliksni have developed a parallel form of teleportation. They're using dark matter to create portals. If we want to infiltrate their sphere of influence, we'll need that capability. Mister Drifter says you've got the skills for a smash-and-grab, so I suggest we go loud. Get us a sample of that tech, and we'll be in business.
The Guardian faces a horde of Exiles and uses conductive charges dropped from Arc-Laden Exiles to overload nearby generators. After defeating Votary Nimis, House Exile Telemechanist, they open the way to get a Relocator cannon.
  • Ghost: This must be the House of Exile's new teleportation tech. It's mounted in an old cannon frame. That's handy. Scans show the power cell and space inverter have been tampered with. Those mechanisms have dark matter cores. They'll wear out fast. It looks like this mobile unit generates an entangled link between a jump pad and wherever your're aiming. Just be careful what you point it at.

Step 3[edit]

Meet with Lodi.

  • Lodi consulted

Lodi is awaiting news of your discovery, and eager to hear about the House of Exile's "Relocator." Moreover, now that you've secured and Acceleron you may be able to access deeper reaches of the Accord.

  • Lodi: Good work out there. You've got some real moves. Normally, agents that skilled at wet-work have checkered pasts. Makes me wonder how you came to be so dangerous. With expanded access, we can investigate these Eliksni in earnest. And find the truth about this so-called Archon. I've got some ideas on that. Catch up with me later to get started.

Step 4[edit]

Sabotage the House of Exile's Arc refinery operations.

  • "Transient" completed

Lodi's informant has information about a House of Exile Arc refinery integrating with dark matter. Disrupting House of Exile operations could draw out the Archon and reveal the strangelet capsule in the Accord.

Note
See Mission: Transient for full transcript

  • Lodi: Guardian, I've made myself a contact within the Eliksni ranks. Apparently, not everyone is happy with the way things are being run.
  • Drifter: You little sleuth.
  • Lodi: That's the idea. Anyway, there's apparently a power station nearby feeding a lot of juice into something off-site.
  • Ghost: Got it. I'm reading high levels of Arc energy.
  • Ikora: It's mixing with signatures matching the singularity.

Step 5[edit]

Locate Lodi in Augur's Bethel.

  • Lodi located

Lodi has more information on the local Eliksni he'd like to share. Find him in Augur's Bethel so he can tell you what he's found.

  • Drifter: You sure your informant ain't runnin' us in circles, square?
  • Lodi: Keelsk is risking a lot just to speak with me. And I've vetted them, of course.
  • Drifter: Yeah, you're probably right. All those ones that tried to kill us are just―bad apples.
  • Lodi: People aren't all one way or another. That's what makes us interesting.
The Guardian locates Lodi.
  • Lodi: I've been talking to that Drifter fellow. Not a name I'd self-apply, but I like him. He understands what it's like to be stranded far from home. Anyway, he was telling me about these aliens who are giving the Aionians such a hard time. The Eliksni. Apparently, they normally live on something called "Ether". Huh. Seems like you already have some experience with it. Interesting. The locals say these Eliksni augment their supply with dark matter. Who knows what psychological effects that's having? Might be the reason they're so hostile. I suggest you assess their production lines. Ii f we learn how the dark matter is affecting them, it might give us some leverage.

Step 6[edit]

Acquire the Acceleron from Spoil to access mission "Saturnism."

  • Acceleron: Spoil
  • "Saturnism" completed

Disrupt Ether distribution in Spoil and recover the Acceleron to access the Time Latch blocking mission "Saturnism."

Note
See Mission: Saturnism for full transcript

  • Lodi: Team, I've got some intel from my informant.
  • Drifter: Informant? Well, well… first it's a contact, then it's an informant. They're taking a liking to you.
  • Lodi: Maybe a way to help the House calm down and see straight again. I'm sending coordinates, but keep on that heading.
  • Ikora: Lodi, Drifter, checking in. How goes your recon on the House of Exile?
  • Lodi: The Guardian's handling the situation well, but… Ms. Rey, to be honest, I don't like this. There has to be a way to de-escalate the situation.
  • Drifter: Wouldn't be so sure about that. I've been watching the House from the Derelict, and they're one ruthless group.
  • Ikora: Do they appear to be in league with the Conductor? THAT would tell us something at least.
  • Lodi: Not sure who that is. I have to believe this Archon is a lone actor.

Step 7[edit]

Destroy the Exiles' Prime Servitor and claim the House's strangelet capsule.

  • "Gouge" completed

Lodi has intel on the location of the House's strangelet capsule. The Exile's faith in the Archon Levask has been weakened. It's time to deal a fatal blow by striking down the House's Prime Servitor.

Note
See Gouge for full transcript

  • Ikora: The Nine―III―they didn't just bring us here to deal with the Archon. The Nine are extradimensional beings. They're connected to the celestial bodies of out solar system.
  • Lodi: What does a planet care about a single Eliksni? Either way, we need to neutralize the threat he poses to the Aionians. I've seen leaders like Levaszk before. He doesn't want a war. He just can't look weak in front of his people.
The Guardian heads into the Curtilage Divide.
  • Lodi: Guardian, I… spoke with my informant again. That ship we cut power to? The Archon's on it. We stopped it from being operational. But he's determined to get it airborne. In between giving intel, he mentioned there have been Eliksni on Earth for centuries.
  • Drifter: Wouldn't be the first Ketch you stormed, hero. Or the first House you've toppled.
  • Lodi: I don't have the ship's location, but I might have something just as good. Goes by the name of Prime Servitor, and they're holding the Strangelet we need.
The Guardian makes their way to the start of the Curtilage Divide.
  • Lodi: This will either draw the Archon out so we can deal with him― ―or at least weaken his authority and delay whatever he's planning to do to the singularity with that Eliksni warship.
