Strangelet Capsule

Strangelet Capsules are hourglass-shaped containers found on Kepler. They are known to store concentrated dark matter.

Overview[edit]

The Guardian first encountered a Strangelet Capsule when they defeated the Vessels of the Archon that were in possession of it. Ikora tasked them with holding on it. Then, they took it to the Altar of Relativity, where the dark matter from the capsule was able to partially stabilize a singularity threatening the Sol System. They determined that they must collect more capsules to completely stabilize the singularity so that the Guardian could pass through it safely. They would consult with the AION Initiative's scientists to uncover the locations of the other Strangelet Capsules. Those Capsules were found throughout the regions of Kepler: Exile's Accord, Central Academy, Outer Steppes, and The Gorge. After recovering at least 5 Strangelet Capsules, they were able to stabilize the singularity, allowing the Guardian to pass through it via a hatch beside the Altar of Relativity and uncover the mystery that brought the Vanguard to Kepler. The mystery was uncovered: the singularity was actually the remnants of the Nine member III. The Guardian was later able to recover 4 additional capsules from their exploration of Kepler for a total of 9 capsules.

Trivia[edit]

Strangelets are hypothetical particles consisting of a bound state of roughly equal numbers of up, down, and strange quarks. They are also considered to be one of several potential candidates for dark matter.
