Yuki Satou was one of the founders of the Black Armory.
Biography[edit]
Alongside Helga Rasmussen and Henriette Meyrin, Yuki founded the Black Armory to forge weapons in preparation to defend humanity against unknown threats outside of the System. Yuki served as an engineer, handling the mechanical side of their operation.[1]
Yuki and Helga developed the first mobile Forge. As the company grew, the three founders began to come into conflict with one another as they began to loose control over the distribution of the weapons.[2] Yuki tried to act as the peacekeeper between Helga and Henriette, but they grew even further apart as Helga pushed to to combine their technology with Exos as part of Project Niobe.[3][4]
Yuki woke Henriette and the other members of the Armory upon seeing the sky ablaze as the Black Fleet arrived.[5] Members of the Black Armory including the founders and Henriette's daughter, Adelaide, sealed themselves in a bunker to wait out the invasion.[6] Eventually a creature breached their bunker and killed members of the Armory, including Helga. After Ada was injured in the attack,[7] Yuki uploaded Ada into an experimental Exo. They had a small ceremony for Ada's remains and Henriette let Yuki take charge of what remained of the Armory as they left the bunker and began their journey.[8]
Yuki, Henriette, Ada-1, and three remaining members of the Armory loaded the trucks at noon and set off. The trucks eventually got stuck and they had to continue on foot.[9] While Yuki was experimenting with Ada's capabilities, the team was ambushed by a group of Lightbearers. The Lightbearers were forced to flee, but some of the members of the Armory were killed and Yuki was badly injured. As Yuki's condition deteriorated, she asked Henriette to leave her behind, but she refused and had Ada carry her.[10]
One of the Lightbearers from before returned, demanding Ada surrender herself to him. While Ada was prepared to sacrifice herself, Yuki lied that she had the Obsidian Accelerator and when he approached her she activated a grenade, killing both of them while Ada and Henriette fled.[11][12]
