Byris, Bio-Splicer was a ranking Dreg of the House of Dusk's Splicer infamous and reviled bio division. He was first encountered in the The Devils You Know mission, where the Dreg and a few of his ardent followers killed Hive and a few of their peers in a vicious display of the Sword Logic in an effort to understand and control Hive magic. After battling the Guardian, the ritual would backfire and corrupt Byris, enthralling him and other local Fallen under the Hive's spell. Becoming Drowned in Sorrow, the transformed Fallen would once again be encountered as the final boss of the Caveat Exotic Mission, now serving as the catalyst and primary vessel of the Earth-bound Coven's ritual.
